Composing Self

Webster’s definition of identity is the state or fact of remaining the same one or ones, as under varying aspects or conditions. I believe everyone has their own identity. My definition of identity is habits and characteristics that you display on a daily basis. Your identity is that which you don’t change everyday like clothes. Your identity doesn’t change because; you’re around family, friends, boyfriend, and girlfriend. Your identity is like your swag and how you carry yourself. How people perceive you and your actions counts either against or for you. I see myself as a very strong person, cool, calm, funny, smart, a good thinker, creative, a good dresser (church and street clothes) and a leader. I asked a couple of my friends what they thought about me. They see me for more then I see myself. They say that I am a humble person, a helper, a good listener, a sociable person, never down, a good musician and a good friend. I was very surprised that they actually thought of me better than I think about my own self. That shoes that I’m not always thinking about me.
